How long have you been CrossFitting?: I am a beginner to the exercise portion of Crossfit, but as far as the emphasis the Crossfit lifestyle puts on eating a paleolithic style diet, I have been following those guidelines for my diet / lifestyle for about 1.5 – 2 years.

 What has the CrossFit lifestyle enabled you to achieve?:   Since focusing on a Paleolithic style diet, with occasional circuit training, I have been able to lose about 80 pounds. The diet / lifestyle has been a lot of trial and error, but I have found a good balance that seems to work well with my body, and have experimented a lot with different diets like the Paleolithic diet and Precision Nutrition. I have learned more about nutrition than I ever expected to, and have developed a passion for others to eat a healthier diet as well.

Why would you recommend CrossFit West Nashville?:   My brother John knows more about personal training, exercise and fitness than anyone I know. It is his passion, and it shows through when he talks about and teaches Crossfit. He has always encouraged me to live a healthier life, and without his influence, knowledge and guidance, I would be living in a very unhealthy, low quality state. I would recommend anyone who has issues like I did, being very overweight, to trust in his knowledge and expertise at Crossfit West Nashville.

If you could summarize CrossFit in one word, what would it be?   Powerful. Practical. Realistic
