Welcome to our adult playground. This is where we literally swing from the rafters. There isn’t a more effective and fun workout than CrossFit. We have so many toys to play with like barbells and kettlebells, tractor tires and sledge hammers, ropes and rings, and a slew of other things. The expert programming is what makes it all work.
Each day begins with a warm up, and I don’t mean jump on a treadmill for 5 minutes. Research into athletic teams shows us that purposeful warmups can properly prepare our bodies for a workout. Performing dynamic stretching and light calisthenics can warm your body core temperature, loosen your joints, and refresh the brain paths for your central nervous system to fire efficiently.
Second, we move into a strength or skill phase. Depending on the rest of the workout, we might practice a new move or focus on becoming stronger at some core lifts.
Third, we perform our metabolic conditioning also known as fat loss training together. Your heart rate will run high and you will sweat.
Finally, you will use whatever time is left to work on any personal weaknesses or goals you may have.
